Sustainable Food Trade Association Staff
Lisa Spicka is the Associate Director for the Sustainable Food Trade Association. She has worked extensively in the organic food/agriculture, manufacturing, and sustainability sectors since 1997 in both the U.S. and Latin America, and speaks fluent Spanish. Lisa offers substantial organic, operational, and sustainability insight to SFTA members.
As President of Maracujá Solutions in White Salmon, WA, Lisa helps clients protect their product and brand integrity through development of sustainable supply chain integrity programs. The former Latin American Coordinator for the Organic Crop Improvement Association (OCIA), she developed broad experience leading global trainings and presentations on organic standards, accreditation, and procedures. As Operations Manager at Cypress Grove Chevre, she designed food safety and labor standards and related training programs, and with Amway-Nutrilite, she created and tracked metrics for “NutriCert,” a program that fosters the sustainability practices of the brand’s global suppliers.
Sustainability Education and Research Associate
Lisa Braun is the Sustainability Education and Research Associate for the Sustainable Food Trade Association. She has a passion for promoting community and corporate sustainability, fueled by a long-standing interest in food system issues. She holds an M.S. in Environmental Science from CU-Boulder with a specialization in carbon management, and has professional experience performing greenhouse gas accounting. Lisa loves utilizing her sustainability background to assist and support members with tools and techniques to develop and evaluate their sustainability programs.
Membership Outreach and Marketing Associate
Stephen Fischetto is the Membership Outreach and Marketing Associate with the Sustainable Food Trade Association. He has worked with a number of environmental nonprofits focused on promoting food sustainability and environmental compliance. He holds a Masters in Ecological Design from the San Francisco Institute of Architecture and has spent time as a Corporate Sustainability Director within the National Park Commercial Services Program. Stephen is very exited to be a part of the SFTA team and to play a vital role for our future and current members.
